Mixing Volumes

Find the mass of hot water from a straight line

Pour the same hot water onto five different volumes of tap water and record how far the temperature rises each time. Plot the volume against the reciprocal of the rise and the points fall on a line whose gradient is the mass you poured, measured without ever putting it on a balance.
