Specimen

Hold the stem and cut thin slices across its end with the razor, into the watch glass
Put one drop of water in the middle of the slide
With the brush, pick out the thinnest slice and put it in the drop
Put one drop of safranin on the section
Rest one edge of the coverslip in the drop
Hold the needle to lower the coverslip slowly
The slide is prepared. Continue when you are ready to examine it.
