Guided
Put one drop of water in the middle of the slide
Take a clean cotton bud to the inside of your cheek
Rub it gently up and down on the inside of your cheek
Smear the cotton bud in the drop on the slide
Put the used cotton bud straight into the disinfectant
Put one drop of methylene blue on the smear
Rest one edge of the coverslip in the drop
Hold the needle to lower the coverslip slowly
Blot off the extra stain at the edge of the coverslip
Take the used blotting paper off the slide and put it aside
The slide is prepared. Continue when you are ready to examine it.
